As a Payroll Specialist you will work as part of a team of 7 and will support with the processing of four monthly payrolls for approximately 6,000 UK employees ensuring an efficient payroll service to the business.

Salary : £16 per hour
Contract : 6 month contract/37.5 hours per week
Location : Norwich
Working Hours :Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm
Hybrid role: 3 days in the office/ 2 days from home, normally be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the office

Responsibilities
* Support on the processing of the company’s payrolls for circa 4,500 employees
* Process all payroll transactions according to HMRC regulations and internal payroll processes.
* Calculate statutory payments accurately such as Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Sick Pay
* Calculate manual payments as and when required
* Resolve employee payroll related queries in a timely manner
* Complete third-party payments for pensions, court orders etc.
* Produce financial reports as requested by the finance team
* Complete payroll reconciliations on a monthly basis
* Assist with the tax year end procedures
* Assist with the production of P11d’s
* Prioritise and manage your workload to meet the payroll deadlines
* Keep up to date with any changes to statutory regulations and internal payroll processes
* Any other duties necessary as required by the Payroll Manager
Essential Skills / Experience
* 5 years’ Payroll experience
* Good Excel skills
* Ability to manage their own workload
* Excellent communication skills
* A can-do attitude
