  • England,South East,Oxfordshire
  • full-time
  • £40,000 per annum
Job Description:
Are you passionate about fostering meaningful relationships and driving impactful contributions? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where your strategic thinking and creativity can make a real difference? Join my client, an esteemed educational institution in Oxford as a Donor Relations Manager and play a pivotal role in supporting their academic and fundraising goals.

As the Donor Relations Manager, you will be responsible for strategic planning and implementation, focusing on major donor stewardship. Working closely with the Director of Development and Deputy Director, you will manage relationships with all major donors, crafting bespoke plans and coordinating recognition programs including events and digital communications. Your role will involve identifying and researching potential donors, ensuring the fulfilment of major gifts, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance their fundraising efforts.

Your strategic acumen will also drive their legacy giving initiatives. You will develop and implement the legacy strategy, create compelling communications, and encourage bequests to the College. Monitoring progress and engaging with legacy donors will be key aspects of your responsibilities.

Project management is another critical component of this role, where you will manage specific fundraising projects in consultation with the Director of Development. Additionally, you will provide administrative support and coordination, contributing to the College’s annual fund initiatives.

To excel in this role, you must be a highly organised administrator with experience in project management and office administration. Your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders are essential. You should be adept at managing a diverse workload, maintaining high standards, and working both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook, is required.

Flexibility is crucial as this role involves attending evening and weekend events and occasional UK travel. An understanding of the structure and traditions of a college and university setting is beneficial. While a degree and experience in higher education or the charitable sector are desirable, your passion for excellent standards and creativity are paramount.

In return, my client offers a competitive salary of around £40,000, 38 days of annual leave, free meals while on duty, discounted travel, an interest-free loan for bicycle purchase, and a contributory pension scheme. You will also have opportunities for professional development through courses, workshops, and conferences.

If you are ready to contribute to my client’s vibrant community and help them to achieve their fundraising goals, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity. Join my client and make a lasting impact on their educational mission.
