We are currently seeking an expert individual to join this team in the role of Senior Finance Business Partner - Mortgages (HBUK).
This role will lead the Finance activities for the Mortgage business HBUK, covering Executive MI, Strategic Analysis, Planning, Forecasting, Stress Testing and Business Partnering with the Mortgage business teams. Moreover, this role is an integral part of the WPB Finance team within HBUK. In all aspects of delivery, you will be expected to execute seamless BAU while also driving productive change.
The role’s principal stakeholders include the Head of Mortgages, CFO WPB, Strategic Planning & Stress Testing, Strategic Cost Management as well as Treasury teams and Investor Relations.
In this role, you will:
* Lead the Mortgage Finance responsibilities for HBUK including reporting, forecasting, understanding of costs, annual plan, strategic analysis for senior management, and pricing aligning to the total Mortgage and WPB strategy.
* Deliver sound financial advice and business insight on Mortgage financial performance, risks, opportunities, enablers and challenges related to revenues, margins, balances and understand/use the costs and FTE information to inform decisions.
* Plan and manage ad-hoc requests and queries raised by the business to ensure relevant and timely response.
* Maintain a strong governance mind-set and ensure an adequate control framework.
* Represent Mortgages in finance and non-finance projects, discussions and activities.
* Sustain a strong collaborative relationship within WPB UK Finance, the wider HBUK Finance team, Global Businesses, Global Functions and other senior stakeholders.
* Continuously increase role effectiveness by reviewing existing, establishing new or demising ineffective financial models, management information (MI) and processes.
* Proactively develop and improve tools to streamline finance processes, visualise MI, strengthen analytical capabilities and increase efficiency of generating business insight.
* Support business and finance regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
* Demonstrable business partnering experience.
* Varied finance career with experience across multiple finance disciplines (such as Financial Accounting & Control; Business Finance; Financial & Regulatory Reporting, Treasury) with exposure to site, regional and/or global teams.
* Experience in Mortgage products and/ or financial modelling and data-driven decision making is advantageous.
* Collaborative, engaging, credible and analytical; being able to bring the numbers to life.
* Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders (all levels of seniority).
The base location for this role will be Birmingham and with a hybrid working pattern.
