We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts/Groupage Import Planner on behalf od our client based in Tilbury.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the importation of parts and groupage shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and facilitating efficient and cost-effective transportation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Planning and managing the importation of parts and groupage shipments from various international suppliers.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations and documentation requirements.
* Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
* Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
* Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the import process.
* Maintain accurate records of all import activities, including documentation and correspondence.
* Collaborate with internal departments, such as procurement, inventory management, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
* Analyze and report on import data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in an import planner for logistics role, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
* Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders.
* Proficient in the use of import/export software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Hours:
Monday to Friday : 7am-3.30pm
