Teaching Assistant
* Area- Northfield, Birmingham,B31
* Day Rate-£85-£100
* Days- Monday - Friday (Term Time Only)
* Hours- 8:30am to 3:30pm
* Start- 03/09/2024
LTF Recruitment are searching for a proactive teaching assistant to join our primary school in the Northfield area. The successful candidate will support the teaching and learning of children in a year six class alongside the class teacher. This role is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the successful candidate.
The Role:
* Assist the teacher in classroom behaviour management and preparing resources for students.
* Plan strategies and sessions to improve students learning experience.
* Support children with SEN and manage classroom behaviour
* Working on a 1-1, group basis or whole classroom basis with students.
* Supporting with interventions
* Work as part of a team with other staff members to best support students
* Develop a knowledge of the school’s curriculum.
The Applicant:
* Level 3 Supporting teaching and learning in schools or equivalent.
* Previous experience (At least 1 year) of working in a primary school.
* Experience of supporting children with SEN
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
* Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
* Knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN
