Job Description:
Main Duties:
* Income and Expenditure Reporting:
* Set and oversee month-end processes.
* Prepare and analyse month-end management accounts for senior management.
* Budgeting and Forecasting:
* Develop and manage budgeting processes and systems.
* Ensure budget accountability and accuracy.
* Process and Systems Management:
* Maintain robust financial reporting structures.
* Optimise financial processes and tools.
* Regulatory Compliance:
* Prepare and submit required financial reports and data.
* Staff Management:
* Evaluate and develop team members.
* Manage team performance and communicate strategic developments.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CIPFA).
* Extensive experience in financial management within a large public sector or non-profit institution.
* Strong knowledge of SORP, FRS102, and higher education funding mechanisms.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
* Excellent communication skills for conveying complex financial information.
