Assistant Management Accountant
* Annual Salary: £30k - £33k
* Location: Warrington
* Job Type: Full-time, Office-based
I am seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join a well-known company within the automotive industry. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and experience in financial administration.
The successful candidate will assist with the preparation of management accounts and perform a variety of accounting tasks to support the finance team.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist with the preparation of management accounts following standard procedures.
* Prepare, monitor, and control analyses for prepayments and accruals.
* Supervise daily bank reconciliations to statements and process petty cash payments, maintaining adequate records.
* Maintain and process the company payroll, including HMRC payments and related administrative functions.
* Maintain the fixed asset register.
* Prepare and process internal financial controls inputs/reconciliations and report to senior management.
* Prepare VAT reconciliations and submissions.
* Assist Group Accounts Manager/Group Accountant as needed and provide cover for other team members during absences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Team player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
