Locations: Ideally based within the North of the Anglian Water Region, covering Lincolnshire.
Anglian Water is searching for a Electrical Thermography Engineer. You will be a fully qualified electrician with strong fault-finding skills and experience of commercial/industrial sectors. You will be responsible for completing thermographic surveys, inspection and remedial repairs on electrical assets across our Water and Water Recycling sites.
In addition to the above you will also be required to complete HV switching and work alongside our HV contract partner to ensure that periodic inspections are complete with minimal disruption to operational processes. This will involve engaging with all stakeholders, taking a leading a role in the planning and risk assessment of shutdowns/maintenance activities.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of a problem through to conclusion, work in accordance with the Company’s safety rules at all times, providing electrical advice and assistance to the wider business and ensure our compliance with all relevant electrical legislation and company standards.
This is a specialist yet diverse electrical role within Anglian Water with plenty of opportunity to develop and gain additional knowledge and training. High voltage and thermography training are available for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities:
· Completing thermographic surveys on electrical assets and producing reports on asset condition.
· Carry out remedial repairs on assets as result of thermographic survey.
· Work closely with the operational teams and contract partners to plan remedial works and planned maintenance.
· Assist with HV maintenance programme and HV switching to support operational requirements.
· Mentoring staff and sharing good practice.
· Ensure all work is undertaken to the highest quality, correct standards & specifications.
· Develop strong relationships across the business to support the smooth interface between disciplines whilst sharing knowledge to achieve out-performance from technical innovation

What does it take to be a Thermography Engineer?
· Time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training.
· Either City and Guilds/ONC/HNC/NVQ3 or equivalent electrical technical qualification
· Experience of fault-finding and maintaining industrial 3-phase systems.
· Proactive and a great team player, able to take initiative.
· Ability to manage their own workload
Desirable experience:
· ITC (Infrared Training Centre) Level 1 Thermography Qualification.
· Electrical Inspection and Testing, Wiring Regulations qualifications.
· High Voltage switching
· Working knowledge of Water Supply and Recycling operational assets.
