PHP/Laravel Developer
* Salary: £50,000 per annum
* Work Arrangement: 4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Remote
Role Overview:
IT Talent is on the hunt for an experienced Software Engineer with a strong focus on PHP and Laravel, complemented by React skills, to join our prestigious financial client based in Central London. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 plus years of experience and a passion for developing and maintaining robust web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain web applications using the Laravel PHP framework.
* Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to understand project requirements.
* Design and implement efficient database schemas and models.
* Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
* Troubleshoot, test, and debug web applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
* Integrate third-party services and APIs as necessary.
* Stay current with Laravel updates and best practices.
* Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and adhere to coding standards.
* Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
* Maintain and update existing web applications as required.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and end-users.
* Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest improvements and enhancements.
Essential Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
* Proven experience as a Laravel Developer with 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience.
* Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, and web development technologies.
* Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
* Experience with version control systems such as Git.
* Knowledge of Front End frameworks, especially React (Vue.js is also a plus).
* Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Knowledge of DevOps practices (AWS) and server management is an advantage.
* Certification in Laravel or related technologies is a plus.
