The Product and Channels(P&C) team leads client-facing apps and web services, including the migration to a single V-App. We’re transforming to enhance collaboration, encourage curiosity, and streamline operations for exceptional customer experiences. As such, our Head of DevOps and Configuration Management plays a vital role in implementing the right level of automation throughout the software build lifecycle, establishing robust configuration management (CM) practices, and driving engineering excellence within our teams. This includes leading the build of efficient pipelines and automation processes, design best in-class software development processes and ensuring seamless integration and seamless delivery.
What you’ll be doing
• Design and implement automation processes throughout the software build lifecycle ensuring efficiency and reliability
• Establish and manage CM practices for code
• Define and oversee phases of deployment, including integration and end-to-end testing
• Build and maintain efficient pipelines to ensure smooth and automated workflows
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous delivery
• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers to adopt best practices in automation and engineering
• Lead, develop and execute release planning strategies, ensuring streamlined and effective release management
• Support the creation of engineering dashboards to measure success in initiatives such as code quality, deployment frequency and defect rates
• Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders, supporting data driven decision making across the bank
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team
We need you to have
• Strong background in DevOps practices and principles
• Experience with configuration management tools and practices
• Proficiency in automation tools and technologies (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Leadership and team management experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineers
• Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and departments to drive successful outcomes
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders

• Understanding of the financial industry, regulatory requirements, and security standards relevant to digital banking
