Interim Project Accountant | Remote | 3-6 Month Contract


Castlefield Recruitment are working with a local Authority to recruit a Project Accountant on an interim basis. It’s a significant time for the organisation and they need an experienced project specialist to play a key part in the delivery of various process improvement initiatives. 

Role:



You will be the key contact within finance, working closely with the Director of Finance and the Group Accountant, providing key financial information and challenging perspectives. 

Responsibilities;

* Experience across organisational transformation
* Partnering with the Change Team to provide commercial insight and technical financial skills to support the achievement of the business change portfolio objectives
* Managing a team of project accountants across various projects 
* Monitoring the change portfolio business case and prepare and present updates to the business case as required
* Provide accurate and timely management reports and management information to the Change Team, the Portfolio Board, Exec Team and Board
* Maintaining accurate records of actual spend (revenue and capital), resource utilisation, and benefits realisation relating to the change portfolio, and provide accurate and timely management reports and management information to the Change Team, the Portfolio Board, Exec Team and Board
Person:

The successful candidate:

* Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
* Strong systems skills
