Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a leading manufacturing business find a full-time Mechanical Design Engineer to join their inclusive team in Telford, Shropshire. The role comes with an attractive salary up to £40,000 per annum.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical scoping of customer projects, developing detailed designs for prototype and production builds and ensuring that manufactured components meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting the sales team on new projects, including technical scoping and the creation of concept designs
* Producing general arrangement and detailed component designs
* Liaising with teams across the business, providing technical guidance for new design builds
* Developing, managing, and updating Bills of Materials
* Identifying and developing design improvements and new, innovative products

* Previous experience within a similar role
* Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
* Qualified to HNC/HND/Degree in a related engineering subject
* 3D CAD experience
* Proficient in SolidWorks
* Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
* Clean driving licence
