Job Description
Our client is an international Biopharma business with global revenues in the £ billions.
Following a internal restructure our client will be recruiting a number of local European FP&A positions (UK, France, Italy, Germany) will be required for the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team which will be integral to consolidating and reviewing the financial performance of biopharma research teams, providing critical financial support and analysis to senior leadership. These FP&A roles will be responsible for the FP&A activities for a number of Business Units, throughout Europe and HQ.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Performance Analysis and Reporting:
* Collaborate with finance leads and commercial colleagues to understand monthly performance drivers.
* Prepare and present revenue and P&L commentary and analysis to Senior leadership and Biopharma HQ
* Handle Flash Revenues, P&Ls, Quarterly ELT reviews, Finance Committee reviews, Business Reviews and Quarterly Earnings
Forecasting and Planning:
* Manage the consolidation, presentation, and review of forecasting, Exception based forecasts), budgeting (including budget phasing), and long-range planning
* Conduct Risks & Opportunities assessments, VP (Volume/Price) analysis,
* Run Rate analyses, among other requirements.
* Strategic Partnership:
* Serve as a strategic thought partner for business unit finance leads and category leadership.
* Provide guidance and proactive solutions for financial management and planning.
Process Improvement:
* Lead simplification and automation initiatives to enhance financial processes, supporting the evolving needs of business unit teams and the broader Biopharma and Finance organizations.
European FP&A Activities:
* Actively participate in and support European biopharmaFP&A activities, including the consolidation of actual results, forecasts, and operating plans for the Head Office organisation.
Basic Qualifications:
* Strong analytical & problem-solving capability preferably with a knowledge of pharma / biopharma background
* Fluent in English and territory base language (German, French, Italian)
* High attention to detail - Comfortable at operating in speed with short deadlines Able to build relationships & influence people - Advanced Excel: Handling large data sets and complex formulae
* Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
* Minimum of 3 years of finance experience
* Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written, and presentations).
* Strong financial modeling and critical thinking skills, with proactive thought leadership.
* Ability to manage and prioritize competing business needs and high-priority deliverables.
* Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Summary:
These are new opportunities within a leading and global biopharma client and can be based across multiple European territories. These FP&A roles are critical for supporting and driving financial performance analysis, forecasting, and strategic financial planning for the local territories. The position demands strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively to senior leadership. The role will also emphasise process improvement, supporting FP&A activities and European alignment.
