Job Description:
Position: Weekend Care Home Cook
Location: Reigate
Hourly Rate: £13.50 per hour
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Every Weekend

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team on weekends. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals for their residents, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook meals according to the planned menu.
* Ensure meals are nutritious, appetizing, and meet residents’ dietary needs.
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
* Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Manage kitchen inventory and place orders for supplies as needed.
* Collaborate with care staff to understand and accommodate residents’ dietary restrictions and preferences.
* Foster a positive dining experience for residents.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a care home or similar setting.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Compassionate and understanding towards the dietary needs of elderly residents.
* Flexibility to work every weekend.
