Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Gas Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of gas installations and appliances across our social housing portfolio in Lancashire & Merseyside. The successful candidate will ensure that all gas-related work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Description
* Manage and oversee all gas-related maintenance, servicing, and repair activities within our social housing properties.
* Ensure compliance with all gas safety regulations, codes of practice, and health and safety legislation.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures for gas safety management.
* Coordinate and manage a team of gas engineers and external contractors, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections of gas installations and appliances to ensure compliance and identify any necessary remedial work.
* Respond to gas-related emergencies and incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of all gas-related activities, including safety certificates and maintenance logs.
* Provide expert advice and support to other departments and stakeholders on gas safety matters.
* Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
* Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
Profile
* Proven experience in a gas management role, preferably within the social housing sector.
* Relevant qualifications in gas safety, such as ACS (Accredited Certification Scheme) and Gas Safe registration.
* In-depth knowledge of gas safety regulations, codes of practice, and health and safety legislation.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing teams and contractors.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
* Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
