Job Description:
Partner Financial are working with a private equity backed software business in London, with a turnover of £50 million. The business has grown exponentially over the past three years and as such requires a Head of Finance to support the continued development of the finance function.
You will ultimately be responsible for building relationships across the business, understanding the current controls and processes and identifying how to integrate newly acquired businesses effectively, while delivering efficiency focused projects to improve the status quo.
Key responsibilities will be:
* Redesigning accounting policies, internal controls, and governance frameworks where necessary and ensuring these are streamlined and implemented across the function
* Managing a team of four, you will be responsible for develop a high performing, detail oriented and process driven function
* Management of the day-to-day accounting controls and processes including ownership of the month-end reporting operation
* Ensure the accrual budgeting process is accurately maintained and kept up to date
* Maintaining and ensuring an accurate record of all debits and credits demonstrating a thorough understanding of reconciliation’s
* Providing regular and up to date Management Information and KPI analysis, and partnering with non-finance areas of the business
* Analysing and providing insightful commentary on monthly financial performance and variances to the CFO
* Reviewing the effectiveness of internal controls covering financial and operational compliance matters
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with external and internal auditors ensuring a smooth audit process and strong year end delivery
The Ideal Candidate
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Relevant experience working for a SaaS, IT or Digital based business
* Able to proactively establish and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
* Excellent communication skills who is comfortable challenging existing protocols, and comfortable influencing at all levels of the business
