Vessel Operator
My client, based in Eastleigh, is a specialist in the worldwide transportation of Yachts & Superyachts, Commercial Cargo as well as Freight Forwarding and Courier Services. They are looking for a vessel operator to join their fast-paced and dynamic team. You would be playing a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of maritime logistics.
Vessel Operator - Responsibilities
* Day-to-day operation of the vessels.
* Monitor vessel movements and maintain accurate records of data e.g. vessel positions.
* Communicate effectively with clients, overseas offices, ships’ masters, port authorities, and vessel owners, ensuring the performance of safe and efficient voyage.
* Ensuring vessels meet all compliances with safety regulations and procedures.
* Provide updates to clients regarding vessel schedules, delays, and any relevant operational issues.
* Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in vessel operations management.
Vessel Operator - Requirements
* Proven background in ship operations/ports
* Strong IT skills.
* Great customer service and communication skills - both verbal and written.
* Self-motivated, with a can-do attitude.
Company Remuneration
* Salary - £30,000
* Hybrid working scheme after training is complete.
* Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, flexibility is sometimes required.
