Job Description:
Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently recruiting for an Interim Assistant Accountant to join a client based in Bodmin for a period of 2-3 months. This opportunity has the potential to become permanent, if you wish.
Start Date: ASAP - Ideally Monday 15th July
Duration: 2-3 months
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (Hourly rate equivalent)
Location: Bodmin
Working hours & pattern: 37.5 hours a week, office based
Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining weekly payroll - Ensure accurate reporting of leavers and starters, review the accuracy of the time and attendance system, and resolve any anomalies, process and submit weekly and monthly payroll information & assist with queries
* Maintaining the sales ledger & credit control activities - create new customer accounts, process all customer invoices and credit notes, allocate all receipts from customers, reconciliation, review aged debt and chase customers that are overdue
* Produce weekly financial accounts, including reporting and reconciling stock movements
* Additional ad-hoc tasks required to support the wider team and business
Skills/Experience needed:
* Previous experience in a finance position - Particularly sales ledger & payroll
* Computer literate
* Pro-active attitude to problem solve and collaborate with the wider business
* Excellent communication skills
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Team player
* Ideally AAT qualified or studier
