Job Description:
About The Role
To ensure the profitable, efficient and safe operation of all allocated contracts within the south area. This is to include any peripheral services supplied to customers by wider OCS sectors and preferred suppliers.

To provide a quality service delivery to all customers in accordance with legislative requirements and company procedures while ensuring effective and adequate financial forecasting, budgeting and analysis of direct cost and overhead.

Ultimately responsible for debt management, disputes, resolution and accurate and comprehensive invoicing ensuring timely cash collection in accordance with agreed targets.

To lead and manage a team of Operations Managers, Site Managers and Supervisors establishment levels are maintained ensuring that adequate cover is established for all sites during periods of holidays and absence.

To take ultimate responsibility for Profit and Loss account and budget for the portfolio.

To retain existing business and to support sales efforts to achieving relevant growth targets for new work.

Health & Safety Purpose: To take a direct management responsibility in the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your work activities. Collation and ownership of the area Health & Safety plan that covers your specific area of responsibility.

You will be working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis.
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:


* Manage the delivery of all services in your specific area to provide consistently high levels of performance that meet contractual obligations to customers and the strategic objectives of the Division.
* Have full P & L accountability for your area of operation and ensure that it is managed within budget, ensuring that maximum revenue and gross margin are achieved.
* Develop plans for the profitable growth of your area, defining key goals and timelines for the development of the area.
* Communicate clearly and positively with staff at all levels in your area to create a focus on business goals and build an environment where all staff are valued for their contribution
* Build a network of close partnerships with customers in the Area, developing strong account management and encouraging multi-level relationships between all services, teams and customer teams.
* Liaise with other Managers to ensure high levels of staff motivation and productivity, increasing staff retention.
* Support the sales function where required in preparing commercial tenders and in delivering sales presentations relevant to developing the business in the Area.
* Take an active part with Senior Management in ensuring the retention of major contracts that come up for re-tender within the Area.
* To participate fully in any relevant external bodies and all opportunities for networking that raise the profile of OCS.Some activities being outside normal office hours.
* Liaise with OCS internal and external statutory bodies to ensure compliance with OCS and industry regulations with particular emphasis on ISO quality systems and health & safety.
* Recruit, develop and if necessary, manage the performance of all onsite operational management to deliver OCS and customer requirements within the area.
* Motivate site managers, supervisors and staff throughout the Area to deliver high quality service to customers.
* Carry out any other reasonable instructions of the General Manager or Area Director
* To ensure all overdue invoices and bad debt are dealt with and cleared within 90 days.
Professional Qualifications:


* Hold appropriate Health and Safety qualification e.g.IOSH or NEBOSH Certification
* SIA Front Line or Non-frontline Licence Holder
* Achieved a minimum of BIFM Award, but ideally Certificate of qualification
* Knowledge of other soft services and experience in delivery is preferred
Experience:


* Senior management experience in multi-site, Facilities service role managing varied national and local contracts with a total turnover of at least £3m.
* Proven track record of delivering on target P&L, retention and growth performance.
* Evidence of "hands-on" operational experience and a track record of successful client relationship management.
* Proven record of managing, motivating, developing and retaining a dispersed workforce through others.
* Evidence of having grown the businesses for which P&L accountability is claimed above.
Personal Characteristics/Attributes:


* Must be self-motivated and results orientated with effective inter - personal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and delegate effectively to direct reports.
* Ability to mentor and develop subordinates, counselling and coaching as necessary.
* High degree of interest in their own personal development and future career progression.
* Flexible approach to working hours required.
* Full driving licence essential.
