Key accountabilities and tasks related to the Shift Engineer role include.
* Ensuring we exceed the expectations of our guests, responding efficiently for the repair of all guest rooms, public and service areas of the hotel to ensure they are well maintained.
* Responsible for all statutory checks and PMC within the plant rooms, bedrooms and public areas
* Conducting the general repairs of electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, fire protection, carpentry, and plumbing, decorative works such as domestic painting, tiling etc.
* Ensuring that all works are completed on schedule, within department budget and compliant with standards and safety regulations.
* Carrying out routine Engineering building checks with specific attention on defective or deficient life safety features.
* To follow Fire Safety Regulations. Health & safety policy and procedures
* Ensure preventive and reactive maintenance tasks are performed according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and correctly recorded.
* To ensure all chemicals used and stored safely and any COSHH procedures are followed within the maintenance department.
