Workshop Technician Location: Greater Manchester

Are you skilled in managing and organising workshops? we are seeking a dedicated Workshop Technician to join our dynamic team!
As a Workshop Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in the daily operations of our workshops. You’ll support lecturers and students by providing essential resources and ensuring a high-quality learning environment. Your responsibilities will include supervising student activities, maintaining workshop safety, and managing equipment and materials

Responsibilities:
* Organise workshops for optimal space utilisation and realistic simulations.
* Provide supervision and guidance to students during training activities.
* Ensure a safe working environment, including conducting Risk Assessments and maintaining COSHH information.
* Maintain and clean machinery, tooling, equipment, and hand tools.
* Order materials, manage deliveries, and control inventory effectively.
* Organise material and equipment stores, ensuring safe return of tools and equipment.
* Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of workshops, tools, and equipment.
* Assist the team of technicians as required.
* Undertake training and staff development to stay updated with industry practices
Qualifications and Skills:
* GCSE Maths and English Grade C or equivalent (or attain within the probationary period).
* Minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant area of expertise.
* Knowledge of current Health and Safety practices.
* Effective organisational skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Effective ICT skills.
