Jewson Aston, a leading building materials distributor, is on the hunt for a Yard Supervisor who’s as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours: 7.00am-4.30pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday 8am-12pm
Location: 7 Sandy Ln, Birmingham B6 5TP
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects

* Work as a direct support the management team and act as a keyholder when needed

* Ensure your team are set up for the days duties, including delivery drivers with route planning

* Get to know our product lines so you can offer advice and help to customers, making the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson Values

* Help to prepare customer orders, load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a Forklift Truck to minimise manual handling (FLT training/refresher will be provided if necessary)

* Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products

* Maintain stock levels in both the shop and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts

* Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers

* Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and your team safe at work

Required Skills and Experience
* Previous industry experience preferred

* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work accordingly

* Strong leadership and communication skills

* Confident working both indoors and outdoors and a health and safety focus

* Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items
