We are supporting a London-based MSP (Managed Service Provider) business in it’s search for a Finance Director. The business has been growing between 30-50% year-on-year with a current turnover in the region of £5m and they are due to launch a US office in early 2025, so it’s certainly an exciting time to join the business.

This role will play a key role in preparing the business for their 2025 expansion, ensuring processes, systems and controls are in place and fit for growth. The business is owner managed with around 35 employees (and quickly growing) and it’s important for the MD to find the right person to lead their finance function, not only from a skillset perspective but also someone that will fit into their office environment and culture. The Finance Director will sit on the Senior Leadership Team and will have overall responsibility for the entire finance function.
  
This role is supported by a Finance Assistant and requires a candidate who is happy to be hands on in all areas of finance until the team expands further. This would be a great opportunity for someone reporting into a Finance Director and looking for that next step up in their career, or perhaps someone in a sole charge role looking for a role that can offer faster growth prospects.
  
Duties include;
* Prepare the month-end reporting pack
* Assist in the year end process, statutory reporting and annual audit process
* Improve processes, systems and internal controls
* Maintain a short-term cashflow forecast for regular review with senior management
* Oversee the preparation of VAT returns
* Be responsible for all day-to-day finance activities accounts payable, billing and accounts receivable, credit control
* Appoint a third party payroll provider for salary and associated payroll functions
* Create budgets, forecasts and strategic planning for the company and future opportunities
  
  
Ideally they are looking for a candidate with;
* ACCA, ACA or CIMA Qualified
* Experience within an SME/Smaller sized business or a sole charge role
* Prior experience within an IT MSP would be beneficial (or SaaS, Marketing, Professional Services)
* Experience using Xero would be useful but not essential
* A confident communicator who can lead meetings, deal with banks and other senior stakeholders
* Prior experience with a US entity may be useful but not essential
* Proactive, with experience developing processes and internal controls
* Friendly and supportive, able to fit well into the office culture

* Salary in the region of £80,000

Please note: This role initially will be based in the office 4 days per week and 1 day from home (they are happy to offer flexibility on the start times)
