Job Description:
Bid Management Analyst - 1 year Fixed term contract - Central London/hybrid - Competitive salary, bonus & benefits
My client, a global procurement company based in Central London, is looking to recruit a Bid Management Analyst on a one year fixed term contractoffering hybrid working (2 days a week in the office).You will be responsible for supporting the team in creating bid event schedules and proposing ideas for item selection to maximise yield and drive stability of supply for the business.
Key responsibilities:
* Operational execution across several steps during bid processes; utilising Ark and Sourcespace systems to load bids, labelling of required ROFR and award decisions during review sessions, extracting outcome data and uploading member preference inputs
* Support creation and alignment of sourcing event schedules and subsequent communication across the business and to manufacturers.
* Partnering with the Pricing team to evidence need for regular or ad-hoc pricing review events as appropriate
* Supporting analyses to drive intelligent item selection for bid events and incorporate market insights and trends into selection process, requiring collaboration across several commercial and technical teams (Finance, Analytics, SR, Pricing)
* Focus on developing controls during bid event processes to avoid downstream impacts to members; identifying erroneous supplier bids, discrepancies in bid pricing across member volumes
Key skills:
* Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent
* Prior experience in a pricing, analytics, operations or finance function
* Confident using BI and workflow tools, in particular Alteryx and Tableau Experience partnering across a matrix organisation and managing relationships with external suppliers/service providers
* Experience in the healthcare field, preferably in pharmaceuticals (sales, purchasing or distribution) preferred, though not required
* Time management skills, including ability to organise and prioritise work to consistently meet critical and/or conflicting daily deadlines while ensuring the highest level of accuracy
* Extreme attention to detail
* Comfortable with financial concepts, including ability to understand and explain detailed price walks, impact of price changes on wider business and concepts of rebates and cash flow
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, flexible and adaptive to changes in the business
