Role: Management Accountant (Expenses)
Location: City of London
Salary: £55-65k + study support & benefits
Robert Half are currently working with a market leading insurance group based in central London.
Due to an internal promotion, they are looking to hire a talented Management Accountant to join their high-performing finance team.
This role will be hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office.
Role
The Management Accountant will be focussing on the companies expenses, working closely with the finance manager, and take on a number of key duties including:
* Lead a small team (2), set objectives, performance manage and guide & support.
* Review and approval of invoice entries prior to posting to General Ledger
* Review and approval of bank journal entries prior to posting to General Ledger
* Preparation of accruals and prepayment journal entries
* Running and reviewing of monthly expense allocations
* Review and authorisation of online staff expense claims
* Preparation of monthly and quarterly expense reports
* Analysing material expense movements and assisting with preparation of expense commentary
* Preparing and populating various budgets by entity and cost centre
* Preparation of allocation drivers.
* Implementation of budget into the general ledger SAP.
* Reconciliation and variance analysis of the budget against current year reforecast and prior year budget
* Statutory accounts for the managing agent.
* Quarterly and Annual Lloyd’s return (QF1 and AF1) for managing agent
Profile
The ideal profile for this progressive Accounts Assistant role, should have the following attributes:
* Experience in similar expense focussed role.
* Good knowledge of US and UK GAAP.
* Has a willingness to learn, develop and take on responsibilities within the team.
* Willing to work as part of a team.
* Has strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work.
* Open to Part-Qualified/Qualified/Qualified by experience.
