The Role
The school is looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of Food Technology to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 for suitably qualified candidates. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students, promoting a love for cooking and healthy living.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Food Technology.
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
* Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
* Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum.
* Participate in departmental and whole-school activities and events.
* Provide pastoral care and support to students.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* A relevant degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field.
* Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
* Experience in a UK school setting.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Food Technology.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
Desirable
* Experience teaching A-Level Food Technology.
* Familiarity with current educational trends and technology in food education.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Professional culinary qualifications.
