About the School

The Role
The school is looking for a compassionate and skilled SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SEND Coordinator to provide tailored support and ensure that all students have access to a high-quality education.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the learning and development of pupils with SEND.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of individual education plans (IEPs).
* Provide one-on-one and small group support, both inside and outside the classroom.
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
* Assist with classroom management and organization.
* Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers and the SEND Coordinator.
* Support pupils with their personal care needs, if required.
* Participate in school activities and events.
Requirements
* Relevant qualifications or experience as a Teaching Assistant.
* Experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting.
* A compassionate and patient approach to working with children.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
* Specific training or qualifications in SEND.
* Experience with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and physical disabilities.
* Knowledge of relevant educational tools and strategies.
