Stoke-on-Trent City Council is currently undergoing an ambitious transformation across their services and are partnering with Castlefield to support this exciting change. After successfully adding a number of driven individuals as part of the initial phase of the transformation, we are now looking for additional candidates with the ambition and determination to continue this journey and become influential members of a forward-thinking finance team.
As part of this transformation, Stoke are looking to identify 2 Senior Finance Business Partners across a range of key areas including Education and Strategy & Resources.
The Senior Finance Business Partner posts will work within a commercially focused team to provide financial advice and support across dedicated directorates and transformational projects across the Council. Responsibilities include;
* Working proactively with Directorate Management Teams and stakeholders in the financial governance and control of the Directorate to achieve strategic objectives
* Business partnering with Directorate Management Team to provide financial and commercial advice on strategic and operational matters to support decision-making
* Supporting and informing the overall Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) for the Council as an integral element of the overall financial strategy
* Ensuring a culture of continuous improvement, looking to add value within a first-class business partnering service
* Leadership and development of Directorate Finance Team
The successful candidate;
* CCAB/CIMA qualified Finance professional with evidence of continuing personal development
* Proven business partnering approach with a track record of developing influential working relationships at strategic level
