Salary: up to £65,000 DOE + red-hot benefits
Location: This role is attached to either our Glasgow, Newcastle or London Hub. While you can work from home, it’s hybrid so you’ll get to live a life more Virgin whilst working with colleagues in a hub.

Our Team
Playing a critical role within our Talent Acquisition Strategy team, you’ll partner with our Corporate functions (which includes Finance, Risk, Legal and Commercial) supporting our Head of TA, DE&I & Employer Brand to define and execute the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for all hiring across your business areas. Partnering at Leadership Team (LT) level you’ll work hard to understand business strategy and local objectives to define how Talent Acquisition can support the achievement of these and plan for future scenarios and for business growth, pivoting with the business as challenges and opportunities present themselves.

What you’ll be doing
• Lead and oversee the full end to end Talent Acquisition Strategy for the relevant business area(s)
• Drive inclusive recruitment practices, work with the wider TA Delivery team to create representative pipelines
• Support local workforce planning, critical skills pipelines and discussions
• Managing senior hiring (LT-1) across your business areas through direct sourcing  and agency partnering
• Partner with TA delivery team to ensure insight is translated in action and delivery operationally and provide foresight to enable planning and prioritisation
• Build effective relationships across the designated business unit to the most senior levels with gravitas and credibility to challenge and influence for good
• Design and implement talent acquisition strategies that contribute to and help build an inclusive culture as well as ensuring inclusive practices and policies as part of our DNA
• Engage with LT to understand resource needs and critical skills and connect with our People Services Insight team to establish workforce planning approach for the area
• Take the lead on how we land central/global initiatives locally to drive engagement and adoption
• As an SME, advise LT on best routes to market for specific capabilities and skill sets. Support the TA delivery team in managing expectations and providing external insight and perspectives
• Partner with relevant SMEs to drive attraction activity including market mapping, social media usage and a variety of suitable advertising routes to support divisional needs
• Support the central team with the execution of our emerging talent approach in your client groups, including apprenticeships, internships & early careers
• Lead regular meetings with LT and ELT to share strategy and progress against planned activity, incorporating insight, successes and address any challenges head on
• Present at divisional and business wide forums to share opportunities, progress and best practice
We need you to have
• A significant track record in a Senior Talent Acquisition related role business partnering across Corporate functions (includes Finance & Treasury, Risk and Audit) at C-suite level.
• Experience of aligning business strategy to talent acquisition activity and talent retention strategies across Corporate functions.
• A strong network of candidates from Finance & Treasury, Risk, Audit and Commercial with superb market knowledge.
• Experience of workforce planning across large teams.
• A track record in successfully managing senior level hiring and stakeholders.
• An understanding of the Talent Management cycle and linking to talent acquisition scenario planning.
• Ability to ensure DE&I objectives are well represented and prioritised throughout the attraction, assessment and hiring decisions and processes.
• Specialist knowledge of inclusive recruitment practices and policies.
• Well-developed presentation and influencing skill with gravitas to be able to hold the attention of the audience and influence thinking at the most senior level.
• Strong Excel skills as you’ll produce regular MI on vacancy the landscape, analysing data to create actionable insight to aid planning with LT & ELT.
