RM Recruit are proud to be working with an excellent not-for-profit organisation based in Solihull who are seeking a confident, Assistant Accountant to join their team on a full-time, 6-12 month contract basis with the scope to become permanent. Our client is able to offer a remote working arrangement with the provision of attending the office 1-2 times per month and the rest working from home.
Reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner, you will support them and work collaboratively within the team to deliver effective growth and continuing success for the organisation.
* Support the Finance Business Partner in delivering relevant information, analysis, and insights to budget holders, senior leaders, and Finance leaders.
* Aid the Finance Business Partner in challenging and supporting budget holders as needed.
* Help prepare the annual Group budget and any revisions.
* Contribute to producing accurate accounting information for management, including variance notes for the Group.
* Assist in the production and monitoring of KPIs.
* Provide accounting support to the Finance Business Partners.
* Assist with internal and external audits
* Effectively challenge budget holders to help them achieve their corporate objectives.
* Coordinate with internal and external auditors on relevant audit activities.
* Assist in preparing reports for the Executive Team and the Group Board
The ideal candidate will be part qualified or qualified by experience with exposure in a similar role. You will possess a good understanding of management accounting, including prepayments, journals, and accruals. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to establish relationships the budget holders at ease. A strong attention to detail is essential for this role along with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently.
