HEAD OF FINANCIAL & REGULATORY REPORTING

Thames Valley / Hybrid

Superb Fixed Term Contract (12 months) opportunity for an experienced Financial & Regulatory Reporting accountant who has operated at Head Of / Director level.
This leading Financial Services client is seeking an experienced and skilled individual to lead their financial and regulatory reporting team. This is a technical role that requires a strong understanding of financial and regulatory reporting standards and the ability to lead a team of professionals.

Provide leadership and development of the Financial Reporting team working closely with Audit Committee and External Auditors & tax advisors. Focus will be to esnure the functions proactively support strategic and tactical developments and provision of exemplary control nd governance frameworks.
Focus on:
Group & subsidiary statutory accounts / tax / policy review and development

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

* Oversee the financial and regulatory reporting process, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
* Manage a team of professionals, providing guidance and support as needed
* Develop and implement new reporting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting
* Provide technical expertise and guidance on financial and regulatory reporting matters

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Strong understanding of financial and regulatory reporting standards under IFRS
* FCA or FCCA qualified with extensive experience gained within Financial Services (Consumer Credit, Mortgages, Capital Credit essential)
* Proven track record in tax compliance, planning and risk management
* Excellent leadership and management skills
* Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
