Job Description:
Finance Assistant
Salary: £32k - £36k + Study Support
Location: City of London
5 days in office during probation - Hybrid 3 days after
My client is a privately backed property development business with a key focus on sustainability, they are looking for a progressive finance assistant to join their fast growing London office to learn and grow with the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reviewing, obtaining approval for and processing purchase invoices
* Ensuring purchase invoices are allocated correctly on Xero
* Setting up payment of purchase invoices
* Overseeing the Aged Payables and ensuring suppliers are paid on time
* Raising fee and recharge invoices
* Overseeing Aged Receivables and managing any overdue debts
* Reviewing transactions on Xero to correct any mis-postings / identify prepayments & accruals
* Preparing journals for review
* Reviewing VAT returns and CIS returns
* Assisting Accounts and Legal with bank reconciliations and reviewing bank reconciliations
* Preparing other bank payments
* Reviewing rent and service charge reports received from managing agents
* Assisting with the registration of companies for VAT and CIS
* Supporting Finance Manager with the monthly management accounts
* Preparing monthly variance analysis to budget
Profile
* 3+ years experience in a similar position
* Strong technical knowledge - AAT desirable
* Eagerness to study ACCA or CIMA
* Strong communication and good attitude
