Reed Construction are excited to announce a fantastic job opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor / Employer’s Agent to join the expanding hotel and leisure team of a well established consultancy in Birmingham.
About You:
* You will have relevant quantity surveying experience
* Ideally from a leisure, hotel or retail background
* You have either completed your APC or are on the path to completion.
* You are self-motivated, possess your own transport, and are willing to travel nationwide to customer locations.
* You have the ability to work independently and take initiative.
* You are ambitious and are wanting to progress your QS career through to Senior QS, Principal QS and then even Directorship
The Role:
* Work as part of a team to deliver new build and refurbishment hotel and leisure projects, managing multiple projects from inception to completion.
* Manage estimating and cost planning activities, apply value management techniques.
* Liaise with the Client and design team while monitoring progress on site.
* Attend site meetings, answer queries, issue variations, cost reporting and ensure compliance of the Client’s requirements.
* Place and coordinate FF&E orders.
* Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow.
* Ensure that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
* Ensure that Final Accounts are negotiated and agreed.
* Coordinate a successful and timely Practical Completion.
