My client in the laundry industry is seeking a experienced Transport Manager that is ready to take the lead and guide the team to success. The role is based in Slough and requires you to be on sight 5 days a week.
Main Duties
* Manage a team of 30 drivers and 1 scheduler with a fleet of 40 vehicles
* Implement the best logistics principles and processes across the organisation to improve financial/operational performance.
* Plan routes for the drivers and review the impact of logistic changes including shift patterns, and reporting the results to the General Manager.
Experience/Qualifications and Benefits
* Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
* Experience in a similar industry
* 40 hours a week 8 hours a day between 7am-6pm
* 25 days holiday plus the bank holidays
* Standard company pension
* Flexible working hours
* Experience in using Excel
