Job Description:
Children and Family Support Worker
Temporary
Initial 3 months contract (with likelihood of being extended)
£24 per hour
Based in Fareham
Hampshire CC are recruiting a CHildren and Family Support workerr in their MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) Team
You will be responsible for making initial assessments of cases and ensuring they are referred on to the correct team within Children’s Services in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out Multi Agency Risk Assessments
* Ensuring timely communication with families on the phone and face to face
* Analysing historical and current concerns
* Adhering to relevant timescales
* Case Recording
* Provide telephone advise to agency referrers about appropriate actions and outcomes
* Dealing with Section 47 enquiries to assess risk and need
* Completing enhanced screening of cases
* Maintaining relationships with a variety of different teams and local authorities
* Gathering and collating relevant information with our partner agencies.
* Analysing the information to make professional judgements and recommendations
* Screening for children involved in domestic abuse
* Undertaking s17 assessment and intervention with children and families
To be successful in this role you need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to process a high volume of complex information.
Role will be 100% office based until fully trained and then working to hybrid model.
