Job Description:
Reed HR are supporting a construction company in Oldham to recruit a HR Manager. This is a newly created role and will require someone to set up the HR function for a growing SME. This is a permanent opportunity (part time and full time considered).

Job description
* Developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
* Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
* Managing the recruitment, selection and onboarding process.
* Supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
* Nurturing a positive working environment.
* Overseeing and managing a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
* Maintaining pay plans and benefits programs.
* Assessing training needs and monitoring training programs.
* Providing decision support through HR metrics.
Person specification
* 5 years of generalist HR experience 
* Construction background preferable
