Grafton Banks Finance is looking for a maternity cover Qualified Accountant to join a growing UK construction business in West Sussex, with the potential to go permanent as number 2 to the Finance Director at the end of the initial term.
Reporting to the UK Finance Director, this vacancy has a dual purpose - to cover for a maternity leave, whilst increasing the capabilities of the finance team, including timely delivery of commercial finance data to SLT and business areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Month end accounting - sales and expense analysis, project reports and month end P&L.
* Presentation of monthly accounts to the Board and SLT, along with analysis and commentary.
* Preparing the Annual Budget - including discussion with senior leaders in each business area.
* Regular forecasting/reforecasting.
* Project work - price comparisons with competitor firms, analysis of operations and KPI’s, support on payroll and expenses.
* Oversight of bank reconciliations
* Maintaining the fixed asset register
The candidate:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with post qualified experience in industry
* Ideally construction sector experience, but open to most sectors
* Strong management accounting skills, including budgets and forecasts
 Salary DOE plus benefits and hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office (West Sussex).
