Job Description:
Pullman is delighted to have been appointed by DHL eCommerce UK for repair & maintenance services on 733 DHL eCommerce trailers at a purpose-built Vehicle Maintenance Unit near Coventry Airport. This has created an exciting opportunity for a team of HGV Technicians to work in a brand-new facility to service these trucks & trailers. This site will be a 24-hour operation, and will require Technicians to work on a 4 on 4 off basis, either day or night shifts.

As a HGV Technician, you’ll be trusted with keeping some of the UK’s biggest brands on the road, responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, repair, and servicing of customers’ fleets. Role & Responsibilities
* Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
* Welding and metal working (if authorised & qualified)
* Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment (if authorised)
* Take charge for parts ordering and stores management
* Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details required to substitute
* Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed
* Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency
* Maybe the Technician in Charge or cover reception if required
* Ad-hoc duties as required
* Health and safety at work and workshop cleanliness is of paramount importance
Skills & Experience
* Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance or equivalent, or considered qualified by experience
* Excellent customer service mindset
* Great communication skills
* Ability to work quickly and effectively
* Must be hardworking and self-motivated and a productive Technician
* Ability to tackle all aspects of repair and servicing
* Diagnostics skills/qualifications – desirable
