Job Description:
Hi all,
My client is a well established tech recruitment firm based in the City of London. They are recruiting for an excellent sales ledger controller to join their team.
This individual must have at least 5 years experience purely within accounts receivable. The ideal candidate must be happy to step into a challenging environment where there is lots of ongoing change such as system upgrades and sales ledger process improvements. Anyone coming from recruitment or a professional services background will be extremely desirable as an in depth understanding of the billing process is required.

Key responsibilities:
* Oversee the creation and issuance of invoices to clients
* Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly in the accounting system.
* Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable balances, ensuring discrepancies
* Implement and maintain effective credit control procedures.
* Manage overdue accounts, contacting clients to ensure timely payment.
* Negotiate payment plans with clients where necessary.
* Prepare regular reports on debtor balances, aged debtors, and cash flow forecasts.
* Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
* Provide insights and recommendations to the Finance Manager for improving financial performance.
* Review and enhance sales ledger processes and systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
* Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Key Requirements:
* Professional accounting qualification (Preferably AAT qualified)
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales ledger role
* Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and credit control.
* Understanding of how the billing process works in a recruitment environment
* Proficiency in Sage Intact or other similar sage systems and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
