As a Teacher of Food, you will play a crucial role in inspiring students to explore the art and science of cooking. Your passion for food and commitment to education will help shape the culinary skills and knowledge of our young learners, preparing them for a future of healthy and informed food choices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and dynamic lessons in Food Technology, following the national curriculum
* Develop innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement
* Organise practical cooking sessions that emphasise food hygiene, safety, and culinary techniques
* Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-curricular links and enhance the overall learning experience
* Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development opportunities
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience in teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational trends in Food Technology
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
* A genuine passion for food, nutrition, and education
* Relevant teaching qualifications and a valid DBS check
