With 30 years of business operations, my client are a global leader in sporting goods, designing and manufacturing products for a number of sports categories including bikes and power sports. They are an innovative British brand with big ambitions and a growing Marketing team. We are partnering with them to recruit a Senior Marketing Manager for the Bicycle category, working hybrid from their offices in Poole, Dorset.
Your new role
As Senior Marketing Manager for the bicycle category, you will be responsible for building the global marketing plan and owning its delivery, analysis and continual improvement. You will manage a small team of brand managers and take responsibility for end-to-end marketing campaign planning and project management, including online and offline channels, events and sponsorship opportunities, and athlete management. You will coordinate marketing campaigns and product launches, engaging with cross-functional teams and briefing specialists to deliver against your strategies, having a strong influence on the end result.
What you’ll need to succeed
For this role, experience working in sports or sporting goods is a must. This would ideally be in a related bicycle category, or you will be able to demonstrate experience with athlete management as it is a key component to the role. You will also have excellent experience creating marketing strategies, project managing campaign execution, and great interpersonal skills to collaborate, communicate and manage others, with a good eye for detail and strong presentation skills.
What you’ll get in return
You will receive a salary of up to £55,000 plus benefits including company bonus scheme, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with service), pension scheme, and great product discounts. You will work in their vibrant offices In Poole, Dorset on a hybrid basis with some travel and weekend work required to attend industry events.
