Job Description:
Our client, an international IT/Telecom service providers throughout the world, is currently recruiting a Risk and Compliance Officer (Part-time) to join their professional and international team.
Belonging in the HR department, the job holder is to ensure that the company, its employees and projects comply with all relevant regulations and specifications. This includes legal and quality standards, contracts, insurance, data protection, ethical, Health &Safety and environmental policies. Legal related duties should be performed to the highest standards to
meet, or exceed, the Company’s and customers’ expectations. Also to develop efficient and easy to comprehend compliance communication channels, to improve internal service processes, policies and procedures to facilitate new business opportunities and to Monitor GDPR compliance IBNLT data protection policies, raising awareness, conducting training and participating in internal and external audits if necessary.
Job description:
* All general legal and service/product planning matters including, but not limited to: checking, drafting and management of vendors and customers contracts including negotiations and risk analysis.
* Draft and update product / service documentation such as T&Cs, Service Descriptions, Application Forms, Master Service Agreements.
* Draft and check legal correspondence
* Work with Solutions and Network teams to design customer contracts and Sales team on RFP legal responses
* Deal with general compliance issues (contracts, insurance, data protection, H&S, facilities etc.); Lease with external legal counsel
* Support HR Director with employment and immigration matters.
* Collect financial, HR data for renewal of current insurance policies and/or enter into new agreements with insurers
* Maintain, develop and publish Modern Slavery Act statement outlining steps the company takes to combat human trafficking and modern slavery throughout the company’s supply chain. Deliver training to staff on this matter.
* Liaise with Head Office Legal department
* Work with HR Director to create and improve processes for an effective and efficient HR/Compliance team to facilitate change and control cost
* Report to the line manager on work status (frequency and format of such report will be agreed with the line manager)
* Good communication with other departments to facilitate the support of business management and provide other departments with your ideas for developing our service.
* Share experience and knowledge to facilitate smooth running of the department
* Deal with GDPR queries from customers/suppliers and communicate with them in a timely manner (this includes variation agreements)
* Support the company’s GDPR team and the Company on data protection matters (liaise with the group companies, other departments and legal advisors if necessary)
* Update GDPR policies, assist with DPIAs, DSAR, SPN, organise training for employees and participate in audits
* Storage management of all company’s product, service contract documentation and the GDPR Document Management System
* Ad hoc requests from your line manager
Requirements:
* Proven experience in dealing with insurance matters
* Understanding of the UK policies and legislation
* Ability to create policies, procedures, statements and business correspondence
* Understanding of legal principles related to UK contract law
* A good and polite communicator, at all levels
* Knowledge of UK telecoms & data protection law and regulations
* Understanding of international contract law
* Ability to work in a pressurised environment
* Knowledge of corporate engineering services and products
* Excellent computer skills & knowledge of office software
* Full understanding of the company service/product portfolio
* Project management skills
* Professional and commercially aware
* Fluent English (verbal and written)
Conditions:
* Working hour: 21 hours per week
* Salary: £30-31.5K/p.a., depending on experience
* Other benefits including travel expense (London Zone 1-6) available
* Location: City
