Job Description:
Client:
Castlefield Recruitment are working with a social enterprise in order to appoint a Financial Accountant for an initial 6 month fixed term contract. They are in the middle of a major transformation and need urgent support to ensure the year end process runs smoothly. This position will be for 6 months and offer hybrid working.
Role:
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will manage the technical accounting for the organisation.
Duties will include;
* Managing the Group consolidation process, coordinate balance sheet reconciliations and dispute resolution
* Producing quarterly and full-year consolidated accounts, create and maintain detailed mappings from the department’s general ledger to consolidation codes
* Ensuring that all monthly balance sheet reconciliations are undertaken in a timely and accurate fashion
* Ensuring controls are in place to support the production of the accounts
* Calculating financial KPI’s and relevant benchmarking ratios
Person:
The successful Financial Accountant:
* Actively studying toward a professional qualification – ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA
* Excellent communication skills and able to relay information to senior stakeholders
* Experience with consolidated accounts and reconciliations
* Available to start immediately/short notice
