Location – Midlands & South Midlands
Type – Permanent – Full-time
Salary - £32K DOE

Overview:

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Assistant Height Safety Engineer to assist in the inspection, testing, and maintenance of roof access safety systems. The successful candidate will work with top-notch equipment including Latchways, Capital Safety Systems, abseil anchors, davit systems, handrails, and eyebolts. Key Accountabilities:
* Assist in delivering various working-at-height projects.
* Accurately record installation, inspection, and certification details.
* Diagnose faults and assist in equipment repairs.
* Support team members by maintaining tools and equipment.
* Follow method statements, risk assessments, and safety regulations.
* Prioritize safety in all tasks.
* Communicate professionally with team members, clients, and contractors.
* Work effectively as part of the on-site team.
* Maintain a professional image with corporate clothing and a clean company van.
Key Challenges:
* Based out of our client’s Sheffield office, you’ll work across the UK in a role that requires physical fitness and a strong commitment to safety. Working at heights is a significant part of this job.
Role Dimensions:
* Individual contributor role, representing our company and brand.
* National role with periodic travel and time away from home.
* Ensure high standards in all elements of the testing process.
Skills & Experience:
* Previous construction site experience and comfort working at heights.
* Good level of physical fitness due to the hands-on nature of the role.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Team player with a flexible, dynamic approach.
* Full valid driving license preferred.
* Proficient with small hand tools and battery-operated tools.
