Job Title: Finance Operations Change Analyst

Location: Cardiff (Hybrid Working)

Contract Length: 6 months

Role Objective:
Supporting the delivery of Sonata Finance change within Finance Operations to help achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:
Support the change agenda within Finance Operations through various change phases, which include:
* Help ensure that strong financial control is applied to all areas of Fin Ops Business Acceptance Testing
* Help identify the root cause of issues and provide recommendations to reduce repeated issues, taking ownership for issues identified and work with the Finance Operations Manager to see them through to resolution
* Work with Finance Operations Reconciliations Team to help support efficiencies and stability
* Have an awareness of FCA and CASS rules governing client money treatment, calculations, and reconciliations, maintain knowledge to ensure compliance when designing processes
* Support the ongoing maintenance of banking and bacs infrastructure
* Help identify the root cause of issues and provide recommendations to reduce repeated issues, taking ownership for issues identified and work with the Finance Operations Manager to see them through to resolution
* Work with Finance Operations Reconciliations Team to help support efficiencies and stability

Skills & Experience:
* Ideally qualified / part qualified accountant, studying towards an accountancy professional qualification
* Strong numerical and Excel skills
* Financial Services industry experience is essential
* Experience or understanding of Finance Reconciliation Processes
* Knowledge of operational and banking systems, functions and processes and their impacts on client accounts
* Have an understanding of company products and funds and the related operational processes
* Have an understanding of methods of reconciliation and data analysis
* Reconciliation experience desirable, knowledge of AutoRek or a similar automatic reconciliation tool being advantageous
* Finance change & testing experience
* Can provide analytical, procedural and technical support or undertake investigation to resolve issues
* CASS compliance experience or knowledge within Financial Services would be desirable
