Intro
Cedar is currently partnered with a highly impressive PE-Backed Real Estate Firm to secure an Interim External Reporting Manager (remote). The role is a 3-6-month initial contract, paying a day rate between £500 - £600 per day (inside IR35, Umbrella)

As a part of this dynamic environment, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the permanent team in an ad-hoc capacity, contributing to the enhancement and improvement of these critical operational areas. Your role will be instrumental in driving efficiency and supporting the company’s continued success through this period of significant transformation.
The Role
As the Interim External Reporting Manager, you will:
* Oversee the Group’s consolidation process under FRS102, ensuring accuracy and compliance while identifying opportunities for process and control enhancements.
* Prepare year-end and interim Group financial statements, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations in terms of presentation and disclosure.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process and timely resolution of audit queries from multiple auditors.
* Provide technical accounting guidance to divisional finance teams on an ad hoc basis, ensuring the consistent and accurate application of accounting principles.
* Collaborate on various projects to support both Group finance and business unit finance teams, including acquisitions, integrations, and special financial initiatives.
* Foster close collaboration with financial reporting teams of subsidiaries in the UK, US, and other overseas operations to streamline information flow for Group reporting.
* Lead the implementation of new accounting standards, demonstrating expertise in interpreting and applying regulatory requirements.
* Draft memos and prepare supporting documents for the annual accounting process.
Your Profile
You will have:
* Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
* Extensive experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and statutory accounts production.
* Strong knowledge of FRS102 and other relevant accounting standards.
* Previous experience working with external auditors and managing audit processes.
* Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote working environment.
