Job Description:
Authorised Person (Up to 11kv)
Our Role
As a Authorised Person, you will oversee all electrical works on schemes, including the testing and commissioning of Low Voltage and High Voltage electrical equipment, on both maintenance and construction projects. You will also make sure everyone works to UKPNs distribution safety rules and Health and Safety procedures.
This role holds plenty of potential for progression, with training and support offered throughout.
We have secured a 5 year contract with UK Power Networks, providing support across their ED2 Distribution Network Programme. We will be providing services across all distribution assets, including overhead lines, underground cabling and substations on LV, 11kV, and 33kV networks. From the 1st April 2023, our teams will be working across the southwest Chilterns, Borehamwood and the Bedford/Cambridge area.
To apply for the role of authorised person, you must be trained and experienced as a site engineer (authorised person) for switching and managing work on Low Voltage and High Voltage networks. You will also require the following:
Experience working with Low voltage and High voltage electrical system components, plant and equipment.
Experience working on construction, maintenance and fault investigation projects.
Understanding of underground and overhead electrical systems
A minimum of a Higher National Certificate, equivalent qualification or an electrical Senior Authorised Person authorisation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good numerical skills to manage internal and external relationships.
Previous Experience
Experience of working on an Overhead Lines, Underground Cabling and/or Substations contract previously
Hold a valid EUSR or CSCS Card
Hold a valid First Aid Qualification
DNO operational authorisation (UKPN)
Clean Driving Licence
