Finance Manager (Tax), £60,000, Central London and Hybrid

A world-renowned art institution are looking for a qualified Finance Manager to step into their large finance team to lead on all things tax, VAT and GiftAid. You will be an ACA/ACCA/CIPFA qualified accountant, with some line management experience, who is keen to make a difference in an established museum. This could be the perfect step into industry for any tax leaders in practice, or well suited to qualified accountants who are looking for a step up in responsibility.

Your Role
* Develop tax and VAT strategy, and advise on related issues
* Advise on the tax implications of projects and new initiatives
* Lead simplification review and advise on measures to improve efficiency
* Oversee the preparation of VAT, tax, customs and payroll-related returns
* Supervise monthly checks on the payroll file to ensure that staff are paid accurately and on time
* Review procedures and undertake analysis to ensure that the Museum and all entities are compliant with HMRC guidance and legislation
* Oversee investment management and reporting
* Train team members and the wider Museum on VAT and tax matters
* Provide information, analysis and returns to other bodies such as DCMS, the Office for National Statistics, and for internal purposes.
 
Your Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIPFA
* Expert in tax, VAT, payroll and GiftAid
* Some charity experience would be beneficial
* Line management experience is always necessary, either in industry or in practice
* Strong communication skills
