Job Title: Targeted Support Worker
Location: Shepton Mallet, Mendip, UK
Salary: £24,500 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (until March 2025)

The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Targeted Support Worker to join our team in Shepton Mallet, Mendip. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in offering guidance and assistance to vulnerable tenants with complex needs, particularly those with a history of rough sleeping. Your main focus will be to establish and maintain strong personal connections with tenants, aiming to enhance engagement, overcome obstacles, and prevent tenancy breaches.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct needs assessments of at-risk and vulnerable tenants.
* Provide and coordinate effective support, advice, and assistance to tenants to ensure they can maintain their tenancies.
* Support tenants in accessing support, care, and health services.
* Maintain regular contact with tenants, implementing support plans and undertaking appropriate support actions.
* Provide case studies and reports on outcomes within the service.
* Collaborate with various projects and services across the local area, ensuring multi-agency cooperation.
Qualifications / Requirements:
* A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work).
* Experience working with vulnerable adults with complex needs and/or challenging behaviours.
* Understanding of benefits and housing benefits systems.
* Ability to manage a caseload of up to ten clients, though this number may vary depending on case complexity.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy, patience, and a commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals.
Additional Information:
* Generally working Monday to Friday, between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00.
* Fixed term contract until March 2025.
