Children’s Home Deputy Manager Location: Leicester
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000
Contract Type: Permanent
Home Type: Solo EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Home
Shift Pattern: Shift-based
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Home Deputy Manager for a solo EBD home in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker looking to take the next step in their career or for an experienced Deputy Manager seeking a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care.
* Oversee and participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
* Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring continuous professional development and high performance.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
* Manage shift patterns and rotas to ensure the home is adequately staffed at all times.
* Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for the child, promoting their emotional, social, and educational development.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a senior or managerial role within a children’s residential setting.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Comprehensive understanding of the needs of children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant qualifications in childcare or social work (Level 3 or above).
* A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
